Mother Earth Package: The “Mother Earth” package restores balance and tranquility through treatments that tap into the earth’s richest source of vitamins and minerals. Inclusive of a 50-minute Bacara Custom Sea Facial and a 50-minute Lavender Massage, the two-hour package is offered all month long in May for $310 (normally $380).

  • May 19 - Taste of the Nation

Along with David Reardon, Executive Chef of Bacara Resort & Spa, Santa Barbara’s hottest chefs, restaurants and mixologists will gather for Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation®, the city’s premier culinary benefit. Taste of the Nation Santa Barbara will raise critical funds needed to support Share Our Strength’s® efforts to end childhood hunger in Santa Barbara and across the nation.  This year’s event will be held on Sunday, May 19 at Montecito Country Club from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with a VIP reception beginning at 3:00 pm. Tickets for Taste of the Nation Santa Barbara are $75 for General Admission and $100 for VIP and can be purchased by calling 877.26.TASTE or visiting TasteOfTheNation.org.

SOMM Screening & Wine Reception, Sunday, June 2, in the Screening Room at Bacara Resort & Spa

After its wildly successful debut at the Napa Valley Film Festival and a sold-out screening at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Bacara Resort & Spa is honored to host a private screening of SOMM before its nationwide theatrical release.

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Chef tastings by Bacara Resort & Spa and a special wine reception presented by the Santa Barbara County Vintners’ Association. Participating wineries include: Highland Oaks Vineyard, Hitching Post Wines, Buttonwood Farm Winery & Vineyard, Brander, Sanford Winery & Vineyards, Zaca Mesa Winery, Ampelos Cellars, Refugio Ranch, Grassini Family Vineyards, Baehner Fournier, Foley Family Wines, Riverbench Vineyard & Winery, Margerum Wine Company, Tantara Wines, Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyards, Pence Ranch and Beringer.

The Court of Master Sommeliers is one of the world’s most prestigious, secretive, and exclusive organizations. Since its inception almost 40 years ago, less than 200 candidates have reached the exalted Master level. The exam covers literally every nuance of the world of wine, spirits and cigars.

Those who have passed have put at risk their personal lives, their well-being, and often their sanity to pull it off. Shrouded in secrecy, access to the Court Of Master Sommeliers has always been strictly regulated and cameras have never been allowed anywhere near the exam, until now.
