Less than a mile down the beach from Bacara sits the stunning Sandpiper Golf Club, home to one of the top courses in all of California. Sandpiper is the highlight of any golf lover’s trip to Bacara, with mountain and ocean views framing the challenging course.

Sandpiper Golf Course, designed by William F. Bell, is adjacent to the resort and features views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Ynez Mountains. The golf course has played host to several professional tournaments, including the PGA TOUR Tournament Players Series, the LPGA TOUR Santa Barbara Women’s Open and the prestigious final stage of the PGA TOUR qualifying event.

The Sandpiper has been a Santa Barbara staple since it was first built in 1972. Since then it has been a regular destination for golfers looking to play championship golf in Southern California.

But scratch golfers aren’t the only ones who can enjoy Sandpiper; lessons are available and the Grill serves generous portions.
