“The Spa Café’s philosophy is ‘food is life,’” said David Reardon, executive chef of Bacara Resort & Spa. “This menu is designed to complement the healthy lifestyle, using only the freshest produce, locally-sourced seafood and grain superfoods.”
Diners can enjoy a variety of vitamin-rich dishes, including the Freekeh Chicken Bowl served with roasted free-range chicken, coconut milk, Thai curry and fish sauce. The flavorful TLT (tempeh, lettuce and tomato) or Soba Noodle Soup featuring local rock shrimp, asparagus, snow peas and enoki mushrooms, are other popular choices for lunch.
Breakfast at the Spa Café ranges from a simple assembly of fresh Hawaiian Papaya served with lime and mint to the more indulgent Banana Cinnamon Buckwheat Waffles.
Enhancing the experience is an array of specialty drinks, including wheatgrass shots, splendid sparklers made with low-calorie Splenda and custom smoothies. Smoothie enhancements include granulated lecithin, bee pollen and multi-vitamin powder.
The Spa Café is open for breakfast and lunch every Wednesday through Sunday. Guests can dine indoors amidst open-beamed ceilings and striking stonework or outdoors on the spacious patio overlooking the Spa Tranquility Pool.
Dishes can also be delivered to The Spa’s cozy fireside lounge. For more information and to view the menus, please visit www.BacaraResort.com/Spa-Cafe.
