Bacara Resort & Spa prides itself on being an active resort. While the hotel certainly offers many opportunities to relax in Santa Barbara, guests also have the options to exercise mind and body. Go for a swim, a hike, a ride atop a horse; you can even play sets of tennis at Bacara — all in the name of a special getaway experience.

Bacara has three zero-edge swimming pools, two of which are located near the beach and offer broad ocean views. The third, also known as the Spa Pool due to its location near the main entrance of the Spa facility, is a lap pool for adults only.

Twenty-six specially designed, private cabanas look out onto the ocean and frame the Cabana Pool, one of the resort’s two main swimming pools. After making a reservation, guests are treated to bottled water, a fresh fruit amenity, Internet access and dedicated waiter service. Wireless internet is available as well.

And of course there is wonderful Pacific itself. Bacara gives you direct access to the beach, only steps away from your room.

Four tennis courts, located seaside on property, have Har-Tru surfaces. Professional instruction is available, and tennis apparel and equipment can be purchased at the Pro Shop.

Activities such as nature hikes, vineyard tours and tastings, winemaker dinners and shopping expeditions may all be arranged.
