From the Santa Barbara Airport:

  • Go North on William L. Moffett Place, which becomes Fowler Road  (0.3 miles)
  • Fowler Road becomes South Fairview Avenue (1.1 miles)
  • Take US-101 North ramp (0.3 miles)
  • Merge onto US-101 North (3.5 miles), and follow “From the South” directions below.


From the South:

  • Take Highway 101 North.
  • Exit Winchester Canyon Road/Hollister Avenue (Exit #110). At the first stop sign, go straight onto Calle Real, which runs parallel to 101 North (NOTE: Do not exit onto Route 217-Hollister Avenue/Goleta).
  • Turn left at the second stop sign toward Hollister Avenue (which takes you over the highway).
  • Take the first right onto Hollister Avenue and continue to Bacara’s Arrival Courtyard (the resort offers valet parking only).


From the North:

  • Take Highway 101 South.
  • Exit Winchester Canyon Road/Hollister Avenue and turn right.
  • At the first stop sign, turn right onto Hollister Avenue and continue to Bacara’s Arrival Courtyard (the resort offers valet parking only).



Additional information about Bacara Resort & Spa’s Guestroom Policies

Deposit for the first night’s room & tax per room is due at time of booking; balance due at check-out. A full refund will be issued when cancelled within policy; when cancelled outside of policy the deposit will be retained and may be applied for future reservations within 6 months from cancellation date. Should you need to cancel or modify your reservation please contact the resort by 6pm, three (3) days prior to day of arrival. Any change to the arrival date, departure date or room type of this reservation is subject to the hotel’s availability at the time the change is requested and may result in a possible rate change or an additional fee. If you have reserved an advance purchase or non-refundable reservation your credit card will be charged for the full amount of the room rate and tax within 24 hours of booking and will be non-cancellable/refundable.

If you use a debit/credit card to check in, a hold may be placed on your card account for the full anticipated amount to be owed to the hotel, including estimated incidentals, through your date of check-out and such hold may not be released for 3-5 business days from the date of check-out or longer at the discretion of your card issuer.

Check In
Check-in time begins at 4pm (not guaranteed due to high volume of occupancy). If you arrive earlier, the valet/bellman are pleased to store your luggage until your room is ready. Guests will be required to present a valid credit/debit card upon check-in along with a valid form of identification. Bacara Resort & Spa will make every effort to honor special requests (such as a specific floor or room number, adjoining rooms, roll-away beds, refrigerators, crib, etc.) upon your arrival. However, the availability of these items cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Check Out
Check-out is at 12 noon. If you require a later check-out, please contact Guest Reception before 10 a.m. on the day of departure, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. A charge may apply, depending on availability.

Connecting Rooms
Connecting rooms are available on a request basis only for King rooms connecting to two Double beds. Connecting rooms cannot be guaranteed in advance. Please contact the hotel for connecting room requests.

Occupancy Policy
An extra person charge will apply if there are more than two adults in a guest room. Rollaway beds are not permitted in a guest rooms with two double beds.

Payment Policy
If paying with cash, a deposit equal to the room, tax and $250 per day toward incidentals will be collected at check-in. For payment arrangements with a third-party credit card, please contact the hotel’s reservations department at (805) 968.0100 ext. 44245. To arrange for direct billing, please contact the hotel’s accounting department at least 5 days prior to date of arrival. Smoking is prohibited in all public areas of the hotel and in “non-smoking” rooms, excluding rooms with patio or balcony (a $500 fine will be applied for smoking in a non-smoking room.)
